Scholarship Partner Level 

The Scholarship Partner Level is a four year commitment to see a student through their collegiate studies.  Companies and individuals who commit to a specific or minimum donation every year may sponsor a dedicated scholarship. The scholarship, at the sponsors discretion, may contain the name of the sponsoring entity. KCFL will, at their discretion and within its scholarship guidelines, will also consider specific parameters requested by Scholarship Partners.  The current KCFL Scholarship Partner Level Companies are below.  

FCBI–Jerry Livingston Memorial Scholarship

The FCBI team is completely committed to providing our agents with efficient and personalized service. Our licensed insurance professionals work both in our offices and in the field with our agents to review the proposed business and make underwriting decisions on the spot. The selection of business is just one part of the equation. The FCBI team at USIS has professionally managed claims and loss control for over 19 years. Our leadership team brings decades of industry experience in leading this team of industry experts.

FCBI has been sponsoring students since the 2023/24 school year with a $5,000 donation each school year.

FFVA Mutual–Craig Menzl Scholarship

FFVA Mutual is a Florida-based insurance carrier specializing in workers’ compensation since 1956. FFVA Mutual has been proudly sponsoring students through the Craig Menzl Scholarship since 2021 with a $5,000 annual donation every school year.

One Call Scholarship

As an ancillary services care coordination leader within the workers’ compensation industry, One Call has an unwavering commitment to get injured workers the care they need when they need it. Leveraging more than 30 years of industry experience and innovative solutions, One Call alleviates costs and burdensome administrative work for clients and positions injured workers to achieve high quality of life and long-term success, both in and out of the workplace.

Established in 2018, the Kids’ Chance of Florida One Call Scholarship helps cover the cost of a college education for children of seriously or fatally injured workers, providing each recipient with $7,000 annually for four years. 

One Call Scholarship Recipients: 

2019-2023: Jared Cooper of DeLand, Florida was the inaugural recipient of the KCFL One Call Scholarship in 2018. He graduated from Stetson University in 2023, earning his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.

2023-2025: Montserrat “Montse” Gallegos of Fort Pierce, Florida was awarded the KCFL One Call Scholarship in 2023. She is set to complete an Associate of Arts degree from Indian River State College and intends to pursue her bachelor’s degree.

TJ STEM Scholarship

The TJ STEM Scholarship was funded by a single individual with the intent to put one dedicated recipient through school. Student Gabriella Garcia received $10,000 per year for 3 years for the 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2019/20 school years at the University of Florida.  

During the 2023/24 school year Gabriella continued her studies at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) with a $5,000 scholarship from KCFL General Fund.  Gabriella continues to share her story of how she received her scholarship and spreads awareness about Kids’ Chance.
