Scholarship Partner Level
The Scholarship Partner Level represents either a two-year technical college or four-year university commitment to support a student throughout their collegiate studies. Companies and individuals who commit to a specific or minimum annual donation may sponsor a dedicated KCFL scholarship recipient.
At the sponsor’s discretion, the scholarship may include the name of the sponsoring company or individual. Kids’ Chance of Florida (KCFL) will also consider, at its discretion and within its scholarship guidelines, specific parameters requested by Scholarship Partners.

FCBI–Jerry Livingston Memorial Scholarship

FCBI has been sponsoring students since the 2023 school year with a $5,000 donation each school year.
FCBI Scholarship Recipients:
2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 ($2,500): Trevor Breedlove is attending the College of Central Florida studying Accounting with an anticpating graduation in December of 2026.
2026 ($2,500): Kaiden Breedlove is attending the College of Central Florida studying physical therapy.
FFVA Mutual–Craig Menzl Scholarship
FFVA Mutual is a Florida-based insurance carrier specializing in workers’ compensation since 1956. FFVA Mutual has been proudly sponsoring students through the Craig Menzl Scholarship since 2021 with a $5,000 annual donation every school year.
FFVA Scholarship Recipients:
2021, 2022, 2023, 2024: Melissa Cuervo graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2024 and performed her clinical rotation at Advent Health Sebring and Orlando Health.
2025, 2026: Abbey Gentile is attending the University of North Florida pursuing a Chemistry Degree with the anticpating of graduation in May of 2027.
One Call Scholarship
As an ancillary services care coordination leader within the workers’ compensation industry, One Call has an unwavering commitment to get injured workers the care they need when they need it. Leveraging more than 30 years of industry experience and innovative solutions, One Call alleviates costs and burdensome administrative work for clients and positions injured workers to achieve high quality of life and long-term success, both in and out of the workplace.
Established in 2019, the Kids’ Chance of Florida One Call Scholarship helps cover the cost of a college education for children of seriously or fatally injured workers, providing each recipient with $7,000 annually for four years.
One Call Scholarship Recipients:
2019, 2020, 2021, 2022: Jared Cooper of DeLand, Florida was the inaugural recipient of the KCFL One Call Scholarship in 2019. He graduated from Stetson University in 2023, earning his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.
2023, 2024, 2025: Montserrat “Montse” Gallegos of Fort Pierce, Florida was awarded the KCFL One Call Scholarship in 2023. She has completed her Associate of Arts degree from Indian River State College and intends to pursue her bachelor’s degree.
2026: Anthony Gentile is attending Eastern Florida State College to become a paramedic with an anticipated graduate in August 2027. He currently is an active firefighter working full time for the Palm Bay Fire Rescue.

Established in 2026, the Kids’ Chance of Florida Paradigm Scholarship helps cover the cost of a college education for children of seriously or fatally injured workers, providing each recipient with $5,000 annually for four years.
Paradigm Scholarship Recipient:
2026: Valeria Borges Colon is the inaugural recipient of the KCFL Paradigm Scholarship. She is attending Cambridge College of Healthcare and Technology with her goal of pursuing a healthcare career that has been shaped by her family’s experience naviagating medical recovery.
TJ STEM Scholarship
