Receiving this scholarship has made me feel thankful and supported. There are many obstacles faced by worker’s compensation families besides financial hardships, and I cannot thank Kids Chance of Florida and FFVA (for their sponsorship) enough for shining a light on the struggles we face. The pain, emotional hardships, and overall changes in quality of life that my dad has dealt with are things I was not expecting from my father’s workers comp injury. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that there is an organization wanting to assist my family and I during these hard times.

I wanted to let you know that this past Saturday I finally walked down the stage and graduated with my Bachelor’s in Applied Science! Both my parents and I were extremely happy and I could not believe the day finally came that I could say I am a college graduate. I wanted to thank you and the Kids’ Chance of FL organization for believing in me and helping me every step of this journey! I am currently applying to jobs and waiting to see what is in store for the next chapter of my life. I recently started a small business of vegan cakes called Cake Craze. Thank you again, Kids’ Chance is my family and I can’t wait to one day help other students like myself!!!

My name is Christopher and I am a senior at the University of Florida. Kids Chance of Florida has helped me tremendously over the past three years. Thanks to the organization and their continued support and generosity through their scholarship program, I was given the opportunity to pursue a degree in higher education. I am proud to say that I will be graduating this spring with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and I will be starting my career as a financial analyst in June. A big thank you to Kids Chance!
